What are the requirements to become a volunteer firefighter with Center Star Fire Rescue?

@@ Minimum age of 18 years.
@@ Valid Alabama driver license.
@@ Valid vehicle insurance.
@@ Successful completion of background and reference check.
@@ No felony convictions.
@@ Ability to perform physical firefighting and rescue tasks in adverse conditions.
@@ Ability to work cooperatively with other firefighters and supervisors.
@@ Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
@@ Ability to keep calm and work effectively under stressful conditions.
@@ Ability to communicate using portable and/or mobile radio.
All training and equipment are furnished by the department. The only thing you have to provide is the time and the desire.

We also have openings in positions on our Fire Corps. Our Fire Corps are support personnel for the firefighters and administration. This is a great opportunity for those of you who would like to serve but do not want to fight fire.
